Children Get Festive at the HARCC in December

Written by  Rose

Children in grades K-6 will enjoy some holiday cheer at Deadwood History’s Festive Fridays on December 11 and 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC).

On December 11 youth will focus on creating and crafting homemade cards, and the final Festive Friday on December 18 will feature kids caroling. Children will ride the Deadwood trolley and carol at designated locations around the Deadwood-Lead community. Santa’s Mouse Hole will be open for shopping on December 11 featuring gifts from $1 to $10, and gift wrapping is available. The cost per program is $6 for museum members and $11 for non-members. Deadwood History will serve light refreshments.

Festive Fridays is co-sponsored by the Deadwood Historic Preservation Commission, Deadwood History, Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation, Deadwood Trolley, Bill Haas, The William Karl and Laura L. Haas Educational Endowment and The Walter and Francis Green Trust.
