“Deadwood History, Inc. is honored to have been awarded this grant funding,” said Carolyn Weber, Executive Director of Deadwood History, Inc. “It will help support the creation of a new exhibit at the Adams Museum, Americana: Ideas and Identity. The exhibit is designed to highlight the theme of the American character within the western frontier. It will include never-before-seen artifacts from Deadwood History’s collections, giving visitors to the museum a new experience.”
The foundation was created by the Mary Chilton Chapter, Sioux Falls, of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, to support historic preservation, education, and patriotism in the Sioux Falls community and the State of South Dakota. Grants are awarded three times each year.
